Deuteronomy 5:29, 32-33
Oh that they had such a mind as this always, to fear me and to keep all my commandments, that it might go well with them and with their descendants forever!
You shall be careful therefore to do as the LORD your God has commanded you. You shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left. You shall walk in all the way that the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you shall possess.

Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 9:10

Galatians 5:7-10

Husbands

Ephesians 5:23, 25
For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,

Mark 10:45
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

1 Peter 3:7
Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

Exodus 20:5b - 6
… for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

Wives

Titus 2:4-5
And so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 7to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.
Your marriage can be a ministry to your children as you live out God’s Word.

Ephesians 5:22-24
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.

Ephesians 5:33b
… and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

1 Peter 3:1, 5-6
Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives,
For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening.

We can nag our husbands into poor decisions.

Proverbs 10:19
When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains [her] lips is prudent.
(NIV)When words are many, sin is not absent, but [she] who holds [her] tongue is wise.

Proverbs 12:4
An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.

The wisest of women builds her house, but folly with her own hands tears it down.

It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.

A continual dripping on a rainy day and a quarrelsome wife are alike;

Regarding Self-Control
29:11 A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.

29:20 Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

14:16 One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless.

21:20 Precious treasure and oil are in a wise man’s dwelling, but a foolish man devours it.

22:15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him.

26:11 Like a dog that returns to his vomit is a fool who repeats his folly.

12:16, 23 The vexation of a fool is known at once, but the prudent ignores an insult.
A prudent man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaims folly.

Regarding Wisdom
10:21 The lips of the righteous feed many (NIV says “nourish many”), but fools die for lack of sense.

12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.

18:2 A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.

29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.

Regarding Responsibility
6:6 Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.

24:30 I passed by the field of a sluggard, by the vineyard of a man lacking sense,

26:6 Whoever sends a message by the hand of a fool cuts off his own feet and drinks violence.

26:16 The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who can answer sensibly.
